Part II

A legend is a traditional story, often about a historical figure or event, that’s passed down through generations. 

It’s usually based on some truth but gets exaggerated over time. The word can also just mean someone who’s famous for being exceptionally good at something, like a sports legend.

A legend is rooted in history with some real people or events, even if it’s exaggerated. 

A myth is purely fictional, usually explaining natural phenomena or cultural beliefs, like gods and creation stories. Legends feel possible, myths feel supernatural.
